Activity 1: Meat and three veg
I think the meat and three veg meal is a good rule. Because you are getting red meat and vegetables at the same time.
I do like the rule it is different to what we do now.
Would I like to eat 1950's dinners: It would be nice to try it but I would not eat it all the time because I would get sick of it
Activity 2: What's in a name
Three popular girls names at my school:
Jade
Samantha
Sarah
Three popular boys names at my school:
Ethan
Andrew
Jack
Bonus Activity: Snail Mail

Happy New Year, Paris!
ReplyDeleteMy name is Rachel and I am working with the Summer Learning Journey programme team this year. I am currently living up north in Auckland and working at The University of Auckland. It's really interesting to read that three of the most popular names for girls in your school are Jade, Samantha and Sarah as two of the women working on the Summer Learning Journey programme in Hornby this year are called 'Jade.' What a small world!
I was actually born and raised in Canada and, before moving to New Zealand seven years ago, I had never met anyone named Jade before. In Canada, the most popular names are Jennifer, Katie, Emma, Ella, etc. It's interesting that names can vary so much from one place to another...
Speaking of change and differences, it is interesting to see how much our diets have changed over time, isn't it? My family rarely eats meat and three vegetables for dinner these days. Instead, we tend to opt for things like fajitas, nachos, hamburgers, wraps, sushi, etc. What kind of dinner foods does your family enjoy? Do you like Italian foods like pizza and pasta or Mexican food like nachos, tacos and fajitas or something entirely different?
I hope that you will have time to write back! I also hope that you will have time to copy and paste your Snail Mail postcard into your blog. Unfortunately, I'm not able to view it at the moment because your site has restricted access. I'd love to see your postcard so that I can give you full points for this activity. Please take a screenshot or it and/or copy and paste it directly into your blog, when you have a minute.
Thanks so much!
All the best for 2018,
Rachel
My family enjoys Butter Chicken,Wraps and lot more that i can't think of. We love pizza and pasta, I like nachos but it is a bit mess for my family. We love to try new thing
ReplyDeleteHi Paris,
DeleteIt's really cool to read that you and your family like to try new things. I do agree with you that nachos are very messy. When I make them for Aronui (my son who is 7 years old), half of them end up on the floor!
Keep up the great work with your blogging,
Rachel :)
