3.Maui's brother would go out fishing and when they come back Maui would ask if he could go next time but his brothers said he was too young.
Other stories I have heard of Maui:
Maui and the sun
Activity 2: Setting sail
Dear Alundra
Hey Alundra, I am having fun time traveling but moving away is hard I wish I was at home hanging with you. I like traveling but it makes me sick just looking at the ocean and how far away we are from land, I wish you where here traveling with me so I have someone to talk to. I hope you're having a good day.
From your best friend Paris
Bonus activity:
If I was asked if I wanted to go on a waka I would say yes because they look very fun to work and you can get active by going in a waka
Hi Paris,
ReplyDeleteMy name's Ruby and I'm one of the people who will be blogging with you this summer with the Summer Learning Journey.
What a great start you have made to the activities!
Those are some really good facts about Maui. I wonder why Maui wanted to go fishing with his brothers so much even when they were mean to him. Do you have any ideas?
Your letter is good too! I'm sure sea sickness was a difficult thing for the original Maori settlers to deal with. I get very sea sick so I know I would prefer to be one solid land. Have you ever been on a boat?
It does look like it would be fun to go on a Waka! Do you think you would like to be in a Waka Ama race though? I think being in a race would be too tricky for me. And of course I would probably get sea sick!
I look forward to reading more of your blogs.
Cheers,
Ruby.

ReplyDeleteMy name is Jolie and I go to Glen Innes school. I love your letter and facts about Maui. Your opinion on wanting to do waka ama is really good. Keep up the great work :)
He dreamed that one day he could go fishing his brothers, Yes i have been on a boat on the way their i get get sea sick but on the way back i am fine. I don't think i would like to be in a waka ama race it would go to fast and make me sea sick
ReplyDeleteHi Paris,
DeleteI wonder why he dreamed of going fishing with his brothers?
Getting sea sick isn't very nice. Sometimes when I'm in a boat like a kayak I don't get sea sick, so it might be different in a Waka!
Cheers,
Ruby.
Because his brother would never take him because they make excuse's saying he was to young to go fishing. Maybe it is different from going on a big boat you can get sea sick but maybe on a waka you mit not get sea sick
ReplyDeleteHi Paris,
DeleteThanks for these great ideas! I think you might have to try being in a Waka and then see what happens :)
Cheers,
Ruby.
