  1. Kia ora Paris,

Congratulations on completing the Summer Learning Journey programme! You've done an amazing job getting through all of the activities in such a short amount of time - I'm very impressed :)

You've come up with some really simple, yet effective ways to help save our planet. Using less water is a particularly good idea. Not so long ago I watched a documentary about the scarcity (short supply) of fresh water in the world. It was really eye-opening, and quite worrying. If you want to check it out, the documentary was called "The World's Water Crisis" and is a part of a series called 'Explained'. It was really very interesting.

Wow, what a cool concept! I didn't know you could 'adopt' animals like cheetahs and turtles. If I could choose, I'd adopt an African elephant calf (elephants are my favourite animal). What's your's?

It's great to hear that you've taken away so much from the programme Paris, and I'm so glad that I was able to be a part of your literacy learning journey this summer. Congratulations again and remember, you can earn extra points by commenting on posts by other Summer Learning Journey bloggers.

Enjoy the rest of your holiday and I hope to see you blogging next summer too! :)

Kia pai to rā (have a good day).

    Mā te wā,

    Mikey :)

    2. Mōrena Paris,

That's wonderful to hear. If the Summer Learning Journey has taught us anything, it's that it's so important to look after our planet.

It is hard to choose, isn't it? Those are great choices though. Do you have any pets at home? I really want to get a puppy but the backyard at my house isn't very big.

Thank you for registering and completing so many activities!

      Have a lovely day Paris.

      Mikey :)

  2. Kia ora Paris,

My name is Hazel and I am part of the Summer Learning Journey team. Congratulations on completing all of the activities in this year's programme. I hope that you enjoyed it, and learned a lot about the environment and the world around us - I know that I did!

I really liked the pictures of the animals that you want to adopt - the polar bears are especially cute! I would love to adopt an elephant because they are my favourite animal, and both the African and Asian elephant are an endangered species.

Enjoy the rest of your holidays, and once again, congratulations on completing all of the SLJ activities!

    Hazel :)
