I like this video because of the fact that people are inventing new things to make New Zealand a better place, by just sitting around we could be do more to our country.

1. Maui dolphins are the smallest of the world's 32 dolphins species.
2. Maui dolphins have been living for 1400 years.
3. Females grow to 1.7 m long and weight up to 50 kg. Males are slightly smaller and lighter
4. Maui dolphins are the slowest dolphins ever
5. Maui dolphins are particularly vulnerable to decline as they have short lifespan and are slow to reproduce.

I think that it's great that there are people working behind the scenes to support the native animals in New Zealand by working to make us predator free. Inventing stuff must be so cool, if you could invent something, what would it be?
You've picked some great facts about the Maui dolphin, now it's my time to try and work out which ones are false. I think it could be that the Maui dolphin is the slowest and maybe that they've been around 1400 years. Am I right?
You have picked some great species to save from extinction, I'd love to know, why have you picked them?

If i was to invent something it might have to be a cage that has a toy animal that looks real but then when they go in the door will shut, if they went to bit it there would be something really bad in it. They will die. Maui dolphins are really fast swimmers, Maui dolphin have been around for 15-16,000 years. I think that the white tiger is really cute and i would like to see one, most of the species are really nice, and some people have no clue that they where even on this planet.
