Summer Learning Journey 2018-2019 Day 4-More than meets the eye

Activity 1:

5 questions i would ask Sir Edmund Hillary:

Why did you do it?
Would you ever do it again?
How long did it take you?
When did you do it?
Would you do it in any other country's?

Activity 2:

My favorite food is Vegetarian Nacho's

How to make it:

NACHOS
Ingredients
1T Oil
2-4 Mushrooms
½ Onion
½ c Corn
½ c Green beans
½ can chopped tomatoes
½ can Red chilli beans
Corn Chips
½ c Gated Cheese
Sour cream to serve
Method
Step 1
Gather equipment & ingredients in correct amounts!
Preheat the grill to high.
Step 2
Slice mushrooms
Step 3
In a large non-stick pan:
Saute onion with a 1T of Oil for 2-3mins (until clear)
Step 4
To the pan add:
Corn, beans, ½ can of tomatoes, ½ can of chilli or baked beans
Stir, for 3-4 minutes until tomato is just softened


Step 5
Arrange a large handful of corn chips around a plate
Spoon the bean mixture into the middle of the plate
Sprinkle cheese on top, place under the grill to melt
Step 6
Remove from oven with gloves
Serve with sour creamImage result for veggie nachos


Activity 3:

I would make my hotel, with the entrance on land near the ocean the rooms would be under the ocean so you could all of the animals under the sea. 
It would be the best place i would want to go to.

    Hi Paris,

    Merry Christmas!

    I love your idea of a hotel under the sea! It would be just amazing to see all the sea creatures swimming by. What would the hotel be made out of? Have you ever seen a coral reef? I wonder if you could make a hotel that looked like a coral reef so that the fishes made their home around it.

    Hello again,

    You've come up with some really thoughtful questions Paris. I'm sure it would have been an interesting conversation. Are there any mountains around where you live? There's quite a few here in Auckland. Many of them used to be volcanoes! They're not nearly as big as Mount Everest but you get to see a beautiful view of the city once you reach the top.

    Yum! Nachos are one of my favourites too. In fact, I had them for dinner just last night. They're so quick and easy to make! Do you make this recipe at home?
